SUNDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2024- JCRS Hanukkah Wrap-A-Thon at Congregation Gates of Prayer from 10-4pm
Jewish Children’s Regional Service (JCRS) will host its annual Oscar J. Tolmas Hanukkah Gift Program WRAP-A-THON Tailgate Party on Sunday, October 27th from 10:00AM – 4:00PM at Gates of Prayer Synagogue. Join in this community-wide event to wrap holiday gift packages for hundreds of low-income families and children from across the mid-south region while we cheer on our New Orleans Saints in their matchup against the Houston Texans on a big-screen.

Delivering Hanukkah Joy
Each year, 150-250 Jewish children and state hospital residents receive a package from JCRS that holds at least eight small gifts, one for each night of Hanukkah. The youths who receive these gifts are known to JCRS and, typically, are from lower-income families that are already enrolled in one or more of the JCRS scholarship programs. Some of the child recipients also have special needs, as do all of the Jewish adult state hospital residents who receive a package from JCRS.
Gift recipients live in all of the seven states served by JCRS.
