Oscar J. Tolmas Hanukkah Gift Program
Each year, JCRS provides Hanukkah gift packages to Jewish children throughout our seven-state region whose families are facing financial hardship. These children and families may be experiencing a variety of challenges, including financial strain, health concerns, natural disasters, or other circumstances that make it difficult to provide Hanukkah gifts.
JCRS wants children and parents to know that they are not alone and that they are remembered by the Jewish community during this joyous time of year.
The packages we send include eight Hanukkah gifts—one for each night—along with Hanukkah ritual items. The gifts are thoughtfully selected based on each child’s age and interests. Parents completing the application can share their child’s interests to help guide gift selection. Many children look forward to these special gifts year after year!
How to Apply
Applications for Hanukkah 2026 are now open.
New this year: JCRS has transitioned to a new application system. Families will need to create an account before completing the Hanukkah Gift Program application.
Application Deadline: September 18, 2026
JCRS also collaborates with chaplains and social workers to provide Hanukkah gift packages to isolated Jewish residents of specialized adult care facilities throughout our region.
