Brothers and cousin, Alex and Philip Glotser (left and right) and Roman Gutkovich (center), represent what can be achieved through opportunities, determination and hard work. Born in the former Soviet Union and raised for most of their childhoods in Greater New Orleans, Alex, Roman and Philip are familiar to many in the Crescent City as they worked, coached and taught for the JCC, JCRS and/or various schools while they attended Tulane University. They served as weekend babysitters for numerous families starting when the boys were in high school. All are recent or impending graduates of the two different campuses of LSU Medical School. Roman is currently in the third year of his anesthesiology residency in Little Rock, Arkansas. Philip is currently completing his first year of a neurology residency in Tucson, Arizona. Alex is graduating LSU Medical School in May, 2015 and starts his residency in anesthesiology in 2015 at the LSU Medical Center in New Orleans. All three young men received undergraduate financial assistance from JCRS and Roman also received JCRS camp scholarship assistance from JCRS to attend Camp Henry S. Jacobs.
